English Wikipedia source and reuse

EasyEnglishPrint uses a bounded, locally stored English Wikipedia text projection to support knowledge reading. This page explains what is included, what changes were made, how attribution works, and what is deliberately excluded.

Current local review slice

10000 complete articles across 10 topics

The complete source audit considered 7205866 namespace-0 non-redirect candidates. 4101181 passed the current deterministic reading-detail rules before the representative initial slice was selected.

What is retained

Article titles, complete cleaned text sections, revision identifiers, revision timestamps, source links and revision-history links are retained in one versioned read-only projection. Topic and complexity labels are deterministic local classifications.

What changes were made

Templates, navigation, category markup and media references are removed by deterministic cleaning. Article wording is not AI rewritten.

License and contributor attribution

The source text is available under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International. Each article page links to its exact source history so contributors and changes can be reviewed.

Updates and failure handling

A versioned offline federation job builds a new candidate. Failed refreshes never replace the current last-good projection.

Original EasyEnglishPrint additions

The site adds topic browsing, transparent reading measures, local full-text search, exact dictionary links, related local reading and print controls. These additions do not rewrite source facts.
