Perhaps originally popularised by the 1994 song "Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop)" by American musician Scatman John, although the original lyric was transcribed differently: "Ski-bi dibby dib yo da dub dub". Which in turn was preceded by, and perhaps influenced by, skippity in doo-wop, as in The Five Satin's "Skippity Doo" (1959), and others such as Disney show tune Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah (1946).
