From the action of each stroke of the 4-stroke Otto cycle. The intake stroke, compression stroke, power stroke, exhaust stroke.

From the action of each stage of a gas turbine engine, such as an aviation turbojet or turbofan, using the Brayton cycle. The intake stage (engine inlet), compressor stage (compressor fan disc), fuel ignition in the engine core, and blowing exhaust out the back, spinning the exhaust turbine (turbo) to power the compressor.
