History
Etymology
From taco + Tuesday, chosen for the alliteration. In the United States, the practice of restaurants encouraging the eating of tacos on Tuesdays as a marketing strategy is documented as early as the 1930s, though the term Taco Tuesday appears to date from the 1970s: see the 1973 quotation.
From TACO (“Trump always chickens out”) + Tuesday, modeled after Taco Tuesday.
